Welcome!

Hello world!
I wanted to take some time to introduce myself and the ministry that God has called me to right now.
A few years ago Leonardo De Filipis was touring the country performing his Cure of Ars show. It completely changed my life. I very clearly remember the feelings of sadness and righteous anger at Satan for how he was treating a priest. It was then that God gave me a very clear understanding of the Spiritual Warfare that priests go through every day. As much as Satan hates anyone who is striving for holiness he doubly hates priests because without the priests, no Sacraments, no Sacraments, no church and that's exactly what he wants. It was that night that God asked me if I would be a spiritual mother for priests. I gladly said yes knowing how much they need our prayers.
A quote that I think illistrates this point very well is from Rev. Gerald Fitzgerald, the founder of the Handmaids of the Precious Blood. He said   “He who would truly honor the priesthood must do so by helping priests. I would rather have a hand in getting one priest back to the altar of God than to write a thousand books on the priesthood, or to preach a million sermons on the glory of the priesthood, for neither the sermons nor the books can hold Christ in their hands and offer Him to the Father.” d, s.P.
Over the years I have prayed for priests in many different ways: through joining the Lay Association of the Priesthood (find out more here, Adopt a Priest), offering many sacrifices for my priests and having a list of priests and seminarians that are especially close to my heart that I pray specifically for on each day.
I recently started working at an assisted living home. I decided I wanted to crochet a blanket for the ladies at the house. I was working on it at a fundraiser dinner for a group of seminarians taking a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Rome. As I was sitting there listening to these four men tell their four very different stories I wanted to do something to show my support and prayer for these men.
As I was listening to them talk I was working on the blanket for the ladies at my house. Suddenly I realized what I could do to show my support for priests and seminarians, send them handmade blankets and let them know that I'm praying for them. I gave my first prayer blanket to the pastor at my church back home who is being transferred this spring. I know it's going to be tough for him so I felt God prompting me to give him the first one.
I started this blog because I'm asking for your help. If you or anyone you know knits or crochets please consider helping out. I need six by six inch squares, or complete blankets if you so wish. It can be any kind of yarn, any stitch, any pattern, it's totally up to you. I only ask that you commit one day a week to praying for the men who will be receiving these blankets.
If you are interested please let me know and I can tell you where to send the finished squares or blankets.
Have a wonderful day and God bless.
